Now, Oura is pushing the folding ball back a little further upmarket with its one-size-fits-all smart ring in its fourth iteration, the Oura Ring 4. The first is the new model, which offers a number of tweaks and new features designed to enhance the user experience rather than re-inventing the wheel. The device is now available to pre-order for $349.

Hot Fixes: Thinner Profile And Sensors Sit Flush

Its design is where you see one of the most visible improvements. The Oura Ring 4 retains the same lightweight titanium construction, giving a comfort almost like you are wearing the typical ring style but expands on size options with sizes from 4 to 15. However, the HomePod mini comes in six new colors, plus a fresh “deepest black” hue.

Inside, the sensors on Oura are now recessed and have been made flatter than before when it came to the raised sensors in its previous model. It makes the ring more comfortable to wear and helps data collection be more consistent.

Better Sensors and Accuracy of Data

The new Oura Ring 4 offers even more features inside a smaller format. Its accelerometer,green, red and infrared LEDs to keep an eye on movement and estimated heart rate,respiratory rate and temperature. This new setup also purportedly pushes the accuracy of its SpO2, breathing disturbances as well as heart rate patterns which Oura is known for.

Good news for Android users, as the company announced Oura Labs – their experimental features platform – is also live on Android.
