Sturgill Simpson To Play Hurricane Helene Relief Benefit Show In North Carolina
Americana artist Sturgill Simpson will perform a benefit concert to aid in relief for Hurricane Helene devastated North Carolina. The concert will happen on October 21 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, North Carolina. The performance comes out reunion of the band in support of the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, to help support their home state after being one of the most affected following recent hurricane.
Asheville Show By Benefit Concert After Show Cancellation
Explore Asheville had originally booked Simpson On Oct. 21, at the U.S. Cellular Center/OMNI Grove Park Inn (UAPCI) Arena in Asheville as part of his “Why Not? Tour.” Unfortunately, the TV appearance had to be called off because of serious dégâts in Galamil (Photo: PA) In return Simpson decided to intersperse the benefit concert at the Cary stop on that same evening.
The national tour will be Simpson’s first foray back into performing in three years. Those who have been waiting for his “Why Not? The Yeezus tour, with 28 stops in the U.S. With the Asheville show nixed, Simpson will play two nights at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre to continue his work in making yourself perform a broader public health good.
Helping the Community Recover
In addition to the benefit concert from Simpson, local musician MJ Lenderman of Asheville had some dates on his tour cancelled because of the storm and resulting damage back home. He has logged on to share resources and links to benefit his community, asking everyone to pitch in with any way that they can.
The North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund (and ultimately to the communities that it will serve) will be receiving all proceeds from Simpson’s concert in Cary. Tickets from the canceled Asheville show will be honored at the benefit concert, with fans receiving a special code for early access to tickets.
Dates to Note Tickets on Sale
The benefit show tickets go on sale with a venue presale beginning Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. local time. All tickets will go on sale October 11 at 10 a.m.
