Plot Overview
Sydney Sweeney stars as Millie, a girl looking to start over as the new housemaid for power couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew. But, before she knows it, the family’s secrets are more dangerous than her own haunted past. Rebecca Sonnenshine writes the script, which hints at a story that is part mystery and part danger.
Production Team
The coming-of-age film will be produced by Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures, and production for Disney + overseen by Carly Kleinbart Elter. It is executive produced by Paul Feig and Laura Fischer of Feigco Productions. Sweeney and Seafried,senior producers,the production credits also include Freyda MacPhadden and Alex Young.

The book, which was translated into over 40 different languages, has become the second best-selling title ever released for the Kindle during its 10th anniversary, coming in just behind the Harry Potter series.
Actress Highlights
Sweeney started to make a name when she was on the small screens, appearing in Euphoria and then transitioning to films, including Madame Web and Ron Howard’s Eden. She’s also in the works on an untitled Christy Martin boxing biopic and will be back for a third season of Euphoria. Seyfried, who can next be seen in Atom Egoyan’s Seven Veils, just starred in I Don’t Understand You.
